The good kinda Cottonmouth
Here is a talented up and comer with a very spiffy bio and a new EP on the way. I a really happy that Cottonmouth got back in to the game and look forward to hearing his future production. "COTTONMOUTH has been producing music since he was 14 years old when he got the drum n bass bug, which consumed him. Since his early days, his taste in music has expanded into Dubstep/Electronica/Electro/IDM and much more. Cottonmouth has already become a Soundcloud favorite, with a hefty following, he continues to challenge the boundaries of electronic music. He recently had a 6 year break to find himself after a life threatening skating accident, where he attempted to jump the Cheddar Gorge near Bristol, England. He has returned triumphant, with a whole host of new tunes and ideas that are guaranteed to leave your ears wondering what hit them. If the Stapedius (ear) is the smallest muscle in the body, Cottonmouth’s tunes will ensure that even the largest muscle in the body, the Gluteus Maximus (ass) will be unable to hold still and start shaking of it’s own accord.
You can expect a lot more from this artist who has returned from the grave."
Watch out for his debut EP dropping in Summer 2010.
Artist: Cottonmouth
Title: Wake Up
Label: Permanent Damage Records
Release Date: Jul 27, 2010
Catalog ID: PDRX0007
1.“Moving On” opens by paying homage to that pioneer of Dubstep, Johann
Sebastian Bach, with its contrapuntal fugue intro. If that sounds like another
language, not to worry: the bass drops hard, and we’re off to the three-legged
Dubstep races.
2.“Chinese Breakaway” cranks up the intensity and turns the Dubstep wobble
inside out with constant variations over a heavy beat that would make John
Bonham tap his toes and Rick Allen clap his hands.
3.“Stompbox” uses vocal samples and a simple hook to build to several
climaxes, and is a surefire dance floor mover.
4.Closing with the aptly named “Faceslap,” Cottonmouth leaves us wanting
more. The unsettling melody and changing rhythms keep us on our toes until
the final wobbly bass note echoes into nothingness.

El Diablo's "Rollin With My Crew"
This man is a sorcerer of sorts, and his sets fall nowhere short of shocking. A powerful and energetic force on the decks, El Diablo is responsible for the music behind MalLabel’s theme song ‘Rollin With My Crew,’ and is known to flip it to psyphy when the BPM is getting too high, but the crowd’s high is just right. Our own devil with the following details: party rocking crazy pants. MalLabel is psyched to kick out El Diablo’s new jam. The “Rollin With My Crew” E.P. is a funky escapade into a mad world of mischievous knob-twiddling joy rides that will surely fill your modulation needs. Come along and roll deep with MalLabel crew on waves of devilish bass delight, with reworking by none other than LA powerhouse 6Blocc, a hyphy collab with Dub Terrain’s CI, and a bangin reformation of HD4000’s previous MalLabel release “Jekal” as a free download to boot. If you want to get some boom for your whip or need some beats for your hip, you need to grab a piece of this."Rollin With My Crew".

Low Frequency High Life w Mycho Pan Cocoa
Mycho Pan Cocoa, one of San Francisco’s most fabulously mischievous producers, prints his vibrant and intense musical personality straight to the binary code in his first full-length album, available now from MalLabel Music. Not in any way an accident, the spitfire tracks number 13 in this masterful passage of audio gluttony, each opus glistening with Pan Cocoa’s signature coat of slippery sexy step. Remixers Zeno, The Faun, and Ribotto play supporting rolls in Mycho’s odyssey of swanky whomp, wonky bass, reality-fractalling rhythms. MalLabel is deeply enthralled to get behind the fiery character that is MPC, and are proud to endorse this enchanting collection of party tales. Low Frequency High Life.

Viewing organic things through the eyes of a machine with Robot Koch
After last year`s release “Death Star Droid” Berlin stromtrooper Robot Koch kept himself busy. He finished off the new Jahcoozi album “Barefoot Wanderer” which is coming out on Bpitch Control this spring. Coinciding with the release of his “Death Star Droid Remix EP” (incl fresh mixes by Loops Haunt, Blue Daisy etc). Robot Koch was on tour in the USA and Mexico, stopping by in LA for a stunning gig at Low End Theory and finally settled down for 2 months in Mexcio City, where he found time to work on new material with his girlfriend and singer Grace . Visiting some ancient Maya and Atztec sites and Pyramids sure added to the spaced out magic of the new EP. The new material is dark, percussive and surreal. Like an audible painting my leonora carrington. Its dubby but not dubstep, rather next step maybe. The songs are heavy and dripping with analog and organic sounds…. Lo Fi field recording mashed up with heavy bass and unquantized grooves. Live sounds like guitars work like samples. Vocal talent Grace, that was already featured on the Death Star Droid album and the last EP brings in a dark and yet soulful gospel vibe over Koch’s twisted beat concoctions. This EP is only a taster of the new album that should be ready to drop in october on Project: Mooncircle.
Why do you call yourself Robot Koch?:
Why a Robot? my real name is Robert, people just nickname me Robot because I don't sleep and make beats like a machine apparently.
Where are you from?:
Berlin.
How long have you been doing what you do?:
Started making music at the age of 15. Now I am 32, so do the math. ;)
You have a very rich earthy sound that seems to stray into glitched out tangents and back again. But in a Zen like way. Who or what are your
inspirations for the music you make?:
Music inspires me, everything from Moondog to Slayer, from John
Coltrane over Radiohead, to weird folk stuff, and back to Hip-Hop...I
listen to a lot of different stuff.
But also art inspires me... The EP "Listen to Them Fade" was sort of
done under the influence of painter Leonora Carringtion which I
discovered in a bookshop in Mexico City. Sometimes its just clouds and
the way the light looks that inspires me.
Tell us something about this EP that you haven't told anybody yet.:
I made most of it in the kitchen in our flat in Mexico City, when I
lived there in February/March, some of it on a plane and it was the first
time i made music again after a 2 month break.
What's next?:
I`m involved in a project called NRBLN with Jahcoozi, Gebrüder
Teichmann and Modeslektor. Its a cross culture project with artists from
Berlin and from Nairobi in Kenya. We went there twice already to work
with the local musician and vocalists and do some sort world music 2.0.
Dubstep meets traditional African chants, African rap meet Techno beats
and 11 year old kids from the biggest slum in Nairobi prove that they
got more fire than all the MCs in the US Hip-Hop charts combined.
Also I will be working on my album which should drop in late 2010. I am
working on new stuff with my singer grace for her album too, which is
gonna be amazing!

Getting ready for paistyboy
Get ready for Ben Swanwick A.K.A. "paistyboy". I have a feeling paistyboy will be crushing it in the Bass scene one day! keep your eyes open for this kid. From what I have seen so far. I have a feeling there will be only good things to come. Now a few words from paistyboy. Hi I'm a 16 year old producer living in Hertfordshire, Britain. Says paistyboy. I've always been into music since I was very young and have always been interested in the music making process. I am a classically bassoon player and have been forced to take part in music for the whole of my life.
I started producing music around 2007/2008 and have advanced a-lot since then due to many an hour spent laboring in front of a computer screen.
